Sofie Royer is a multidisciplinary artist based in Vienna who translates her interest in classical tradition into shimmering electro-pop songs. She channeled her love for French chanson into her 2020 debut, Cult Survivor, and looked to Viennese opera and ballet for 2022’s Harlequin. She guested on Lewis Of Man’s latest record Cristal Medium Blue, and on Toro Y Moi’s MAHAL in 2022, and has recently opened for Lana Del Rey, Air and LCD Soundsystem. Earlier this year, Royer released “Paris is burning”, a duet with Alexander Dexter Jones. More music is on the way soon.

Klassik, Jazz, Pop – es gibt kaum ein Genre, in dem die vielseitige Stimme Anna Bucheggers bislang nicht auf begeistertes Gehör stieß. Ihr Talent bewies sie nicht nur während ihres fulminanten Starmania-Erfolgs 2021, sondern auch bei Auftritten im Salzburger Haus für Mozart oder als Interpretin zahlreicher Cover-Versionen. Mit jeder einzelnen Erfahrung hat die 25-Jährige sich selbst und das Musikbusiness besser kennengelernt. Genauer in sich hineingehorcht, reflektiert und immer wieder neue Lehren daraus gezogen. Zunehmend reifte der Wunsch nach etwas Neuem. Nach einer Vermischung von alpenländischer Folklore mit zeitgemäßer Popmusik. Ganz ohne (rechts)politischem Mief, bürgerlicher Kleingeistigkeit oder dem Abrutschen in seichte Gefilde. Auf ihrem Album „Windschatten“ (VÖ: FR, 04.10.2024) kreiert Buchegger nichts weniger als eine neue Ära musikalischer Volkskultur. Sie verknüpft die raue Ursprünglichkeit des Ländlichen mit der verspielten Klangästhetik gegenwärtiger, urbaner Pop-Produktionen und öffnet damit eine Schublade, die es bisher noch gar nicht gab.

SISKA's voice is enchanting, starting soft and dreamy before breaking through with beautiful melodies floating over colorful soundscapes. Her electronic music leaves room for vocals, with occasional piano and violin parts influenced by her classical music education and love for artists like Björk and James Blake. SISKA's unique style blends classical and electronic music harmoniously, creating an extraordinary atmosphere for her snapshot lyrics that evoke personal and melancholic emotions.

Lukas Oscar is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter and music producer with Filipino roots living in Vienna. The gifted musician not only mesmerizes and hypnotizes with his soothing, melancholic voice, but is also a very talented songwriter and pianist. He uses words and melodies as his candid thought process playground, describing his inner emotional world with shameless honesty and enabling the listener to have an uncensored look into his mind.

Writing songs has always been quite natural and ever-present in TOBY WHYLE's life. And he’s written plenty of them over the last decade. However, what’s new is the realisation that songwriting is one of his few means to slow down the bright and fast-paced world surrounding us. Driven by the urge to create and develop something new, he started to write again.
