matches music is a music publisher and management agency based in vienna, austria. we work closely with a small roster of musicians, producers, audio engineers, and labels, taking a highly personal approach to artist management. our relationships with artists and partners are built on mutual respect and genuine connection—we place great emphasis on the human being behind the music. in addition to artist management, we curate festivals and advise companies on selecting the right musicians for their events. as a publisher, we support film productions, advertising campaigns, and television projects in finding the perfect music for their needs. one of our standout initiatives is our annual songwriting camp at attersee, a hidden gem in austria’s songwriting scene. before founding matches music in 2017, we spent many years curating concerts and hosting regular club nights, creating spaces for adventurous music across austria. deeply rooted in underground club culture and electronic dance music, we collaborate with artists from diverse musical backgrounds and remain open to all genres.
DAVID BUDER
david grew up with music, guitar lessons as a kid, mixtapes as a teenager, later a degree in audio engineering and business administration. he co-founded matches music in 2017 and has since built it into one of austria’s leading artist management agencies. for over ten years, he has also been co-running the fm4 unlimited open-air music festival at attersee and in steyr.
as chair of the music production section at the WKO, he actively shapes the framework for austrian music. he also teaches music business and management at fh salzburg and wifi wien. david’s passion for music is only surpassed by his love of cats and other furry animals.
LAURA HAUBENHOFER
laura discovered her passion for event management at an early age and today has evolved into a dedicated and passionate artist manager. her exceptional ability to maintain a cool head in stressful situations sets her apart. laura’s drive is remarkable – when she’s not climbing mountains, you might find her dancing in a mosh pit or attending the next festival. her enthusiasm for the music industry goes far beyond the creative process: artists and colleagues alike appreciate her ability to strategically plan and efficiently organize projects, like our yearly songwriting camps at attersee. and, she also takes on operational responsibility at matches music as an authorized signatory.
Hanna Bauer
hanna is an experienced project manager, music curator and DJ with deep roots in the viennese and international cultural scene. she was part of the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival for over 15 years, including six years as curator of the music program “ImPulsTanz Soçial”, which she significantly shaped. she also coordinated EU-funded cultural projects in the performing arts.
with a keen sense for artistic synergies, she connects artists and sounds that capture the spirit of the times while opening up new perspectives. whether as a DJ, music curator or project manager, she stands for innovation, unconventional concepts, and creative networking.
